Free color consultation at our Kennewick office
Choosing a color can feel overwhelming, and we are here to help. Come in to 8804 W Victoria Ave and work it out before a brush is wet.
Chapter 01
An office built for choosing color
The free color consultation happens in the company's own office at 8804 W Victoria Ave in Kennewick, the red two-story building in the photo with the smiley on its front. Owner Jason Zook told the Tri-Cities Area Journal of Business in 2018 that the new office would create a supportive and caring environment for people to pick paint colors, which he called often the most difficult part of the painting process.
Choosing colors for a whole house is a bigger decision than it looks, and it rarely gets settled in one trip down a hardware store aisle. A quiet room, time and a painter's eye make it easier. The office number is (509) 987-4774, staffed Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Color Visualizer, paintable samples and a mock-up of your space
Before you come in, the Color Visualizer tool on our website lets you explore colors on your own time. It is a starting point, not the answer, because a screen cannot show how a color behaves on your siding or in your living room.
In the office we can provide a mock-up of your space with the new colors, so you see the body, trim and accents together instead of one chip at a time. Once you have narrowed it down, we can provide a paintable sample of the colors you want to compare, which you can put on the wall and live with for a few days before anything is decided.
If coming in is hard, we will meet at the paint store or sit down at your house to find the right direction instead.
Chapter 03
Sherwin-Williams, or any brand, matched from a small sample
Most of the time we use the Sherwin-Williams line, with options at different quality levels. If you fall for a color from another brand, we can do a color match into the product that works best for your project. All we need is a small color sample.
Then check the color in Tri-Cities light. Eastern Washington's intense summer sun and dry heat flatten some colors and wash out others, and the same sample reads differently on a shaded north wall than on a south wall at four in the afternoon. Put it up on more than one wall and look at it in the morning, at midday and in the evening before you decide.
Color selection is part of the approval step on every project in Kennewick, Pasco and Richland, and the consultation gets you there with a short list instead of a blank page.
